Intro

From the 1970s when the festival started, the line-up settled into a pattern of progressive rock, blues and hard rock, with appearances from the worldwide known band The Jam. Moving into the 80s the festival followed a similar format to the 70s, with crowds dying to see the leading rock and heavy metal acts from that era. Now in the 21st century the festival has broadened its range of genres from heavy metal to dubstep, Indie to soul and so on. This has worked well combining with the youth’s growing range of music genres, bringing more and more people to the festival each year.
